So, Dad took a photo of this with his i Phone. The picture was too small so I re-took it with my camera. We ate these tonight with Melanie and Emily.
And this is how to make them:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Grease and flower 8 ramekins.
In a double boiler melt:
1 stick of butter and
8 ounces of semi-sweet baking chocolate
While this is melting, mix these ingridents with a stand-up mixer(kitchen aid) for approximately 5 minutes until mixture is even colored and smooth in appearance. Volume should triple.
4 whole eggs and one egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
If you only have a handheld mixer, mix for approximately 10 minutes.
If your chocolate is done melting before your egg mixture is beaten, or vice verse, no harm. The egg mixture is fine sitting for a bit. The temperature of the melted chocolate and butter will be too hot to add the rest of the ingredient to right away. Allow it to cool slightly, but it should remain liquid. Scrape the egg mixture into the chocolate bowl and carefully fold the two together.
Add 3 tablespoons of all purpose flower to the batter
Bake for 10 minutes in a regular size ramekin, and less for smaller.
To serve, run a knife around the cake to loosen it. Turn the ramekin upside down on a plate and allow to cool for one minute. Serve warm. Eat. Enjoy.
